Green rose

Green roses (Rosa Chinensis Viridiflora) are indeed green. However, they do not resemble ordinary roses when in full bloom. They do, however, have petals like ordinary roses, classified as 'the green rose'. The Rosa Chinensis Viridiflora dates from the mid 17th century and has been cultivated since the 18th century.

In fact, during evolution, modified leaves have turned into flowers. We enjoy their beauty and fragrance, which they have given us since nature developed them. Although this green rose looks like a type of weed, it keeps gluttonous insects and birds at bay. Some tips about planting Rosa viridiflora

Fertilize the soil in the spring with an organic fertilizer. Dig a hole about 15 to 18 inches or 35 to 45 cm deep. If you bought your rose in a stick, carefully remove from the pot and loosen the roots so they can easily find their way once in the ground. If you have your bare-root roses, unfold the roots, and check them. Carefully cut off any roots that are broken or soft. Soak the roots for about 12 hours before planting to prevent them from drying out. Dead branches should be pruned and you can grow your green rose as high as you want. Plant your roses in the spring, as soon as the winter months are over. The best temperature for planting roses is therefore between 4 to 16 garden Celcius (40 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit). This way, your rose will withstand hot summers and grow strong roots. And lastly, make sure to water them every other day.

Purple rose

They can be grown simply in the ground. However, their purple color is obtained by crossing. This means that different rose colors are mixed together, so that the rose can have different colors, in this case, purple. Getting a purple rose requires the hybridization of different types of roses already found in nature, such as white, pink, or red. The technical term for purple rose hybrid with purple hues is hybrid tea and cardinal hume roses, which have a deeper purple color than hybrid tea.
